Warm Winter Gear for Cormorant Lake School

More than 100 students at Cormorant Lake School in Treaty Territory 5 were recipients of warm winter gear through the support of community champions and True North Aid’s Community Initiatives Program.

Families shared that the rising cost of essentials and limited access to stores makes winter gear difficult to obtain, especially for large families. This project helped relieve that burden while ensuring every child has the clothing they need to stay warm, attend school, and participate in cultural activities like land-based learning and community events.
