True North Aid partnered with the Makwa (Bear) Patrol to purchase and outfit a vehicle for their outreach program to support vulnerable community members. The Makwa Patrol acts as a first-responder to non-violent incidences of public intoxication, unwanted persons, and other acts, to help resolve situations in a non-violent and non-confrontational manner. The Makwa Patrol are a community-based solution to crime prevention and provide a sense of safety, solidarity, and belonging to its members and the communities they serve.
