This canoe program, ran in Pelican Narrows SK, integrated traditional, cultural and physical activities and teachings, to enlighten and educate community members. The community was able to hire a certified canoe trainer, who was a great asset to the students.The canoes were used by the students for training for the Indigenous Summer Games, which happened at the end of July, and for recreational use by the a community for the remainder of the year and years to come!
