True North Aid supported the Suwilaawks Community School in Terrace, BC to provide experiences for students that will create lifelong memories, build confidence and explore identity through deeply engaging with the land, culture and people. By providing a wide range of experiencees, students will have opportunities to explore their strengths in different ways.

Our experiences will happen throughout the year.

Fall:
– Field trip to Kitselas Canyon for a guided tour of Kitselas Canyon and old village site.
Winter:
– Cross-country Skiing at Onion Lakes – coaches supplied by Spirit North
– Downhill Skiing lessons & Tubing at Shames Mountain
Spring:
– Ts’eliksit Language & Culture Camp
– Soapberry picking
