Thank you to Wawanesa Insurance for their
Please join us in thanking Wawanesa Insurance for thier $100,000 donation through their #CaringTogether Campaign to support our COVID-19 humanitarian efforts.
The current global pandemic has made life for members living in northern and remote communities much more difficult as many of these communities have limited access to basic necessities, critical care items for young moms & infants, school supplies and high rates of mental health and addiction issues. These are major challenges that the pandemic and social isolation have only exacerbated.
Wawanesa’s incredible donation will allow us to immediately reach out to many northern communities and let them know that help is available NOW, as time is of the essence. Working with volunteers and groups across Canada we plan to support many more communities with current and future requests for assistance. Already, True North Aid has been able to provide transportation of personal protective equipment and educational supplies, purchase and provide over 190 backpacks to Canoe Lake Cree First Nation, ship over 20,000 lbs of flour to community food centres serving the north and more.
We encourage northern and remote communities to apply to True North Aid for supports related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Whether it is to prepare for further waves of the virus, or to deal with the current the situation in your community, True North Aid is dedicated to serving and supporting your community through these difficult times.
