TNA and RollUp Deliver Mobility Aids for those In Isolation

Last month, TNA delivered 20+ mobility devices for those staying in Winnipeg and needing to isolate away from their remote communities. Thank you to Rollup Solutions, the First Nations Health and Social Secretariat, and members of the Alternative Isolation Accommodations team for their help!

EMERGENCY AID TO GARDEN HILL FIRST NATION, MB

 

In early March, TNA delivered over $20,000 in food and activity aid for Garden Hill First Nation that was dealing with a massive outbreak and lockdown due to COVID-19. Thank you to Jessiica Beardy, Strini Reddy and Pratt’s Wholesale for helping to make this possible.

REZ Reads via Good Ally Project Delivers Over 1500+ Books

Thanks to the generous support of the Kingston Community, Indigo Kingston and Good Ally Project, over 1500 books were collected to send to Eabametoong First Nation as well as to Split Lake and Tadoule Lake, both remote communities in Manitoba.


HAND ME UPS ONTARIO NOW A PROJECT OF TRUE NORTH AID

Hand Me Ups Ontario aims at supporting the community of Nibinamik First Nation in remote Ontario with seasonally appropriate clothing and more! 


SUPPORTING TWO FIRST NATIONS WITH CULTURAL PROGRAMMING

True North Aid continues to assist the Country Foods program in Nelson House, Manitoba, and Buffalo Narrows School in Saskatchewan for their culture week back in March 2021! More news coming soon… For more info click HERE .


PPE SUPPLIES TO CHIEFS COUNCILS, COMMUNITIES

Keewatin Tribal Council, MB & KO Chiefs in ON, and 3 other communities received PPE in partnership with Finding Our Power Together and Project Northern Lights. These will help protect staff during their vaccine outreach in their communities. 


750+ BACKPACKS TO 4 COMMUNITIES IN SK AND MB

Thanks to Bargains Group for helping True North to prepare and deliver 750+ backpacks filled with school supplies in which we sent to Ministikwan First Nation, Wollaston Lake, and Peter Ballantyne First Nations in Saskatchewan and the Pas in Manibota. This is was through our Learning from Home Program. 

10 Mattresses and Frames delivered to Tsiighetchic, NWT

 

Thanks to Wayne Drury and Mavis Clark of the Gwichya Gwichin Tribal Council and funding from our generous donors, 10 brand new mattresses and frames were delivered to Tsiighetchic, NWT to support elders living there.

13,227 LBS of FLOUR DELIVERED TO PIKANGIKUM

 
Early in April, 6 pallets of flour (or 13,227lbs) were delivered to Pikangikum First Nation to help the many families there with this essential food item.

NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH LEGO REPLAY CANADA

 

We’re proud to announce our partnership with LEGO Replay, which helps to get LEGO bricks into the hands of youth who would otherwise not have the opportunity to! Our first shipment of bricks will be sent to Pauingassi and Little Grand Rapids in Manitoba.
