Oct 2011 – Aid to Attawapiskat
on Oct 18 in Blog, Projects by tnaadminWe have just returned from Timmins after spending the better part of 2 days on the road with a 26 foot truck loaded with 7 skids of humanitarian aid bound for Attawapiskat, ON. It was an incredible journey and especially in the fall the sights are amazing.
In Timmins we went to the Air Creebec facility at the airport to unload the truck. The people of Air Creebec were amazing – not only are the employees a pleasure to meet, but Air Creebec flies the supplies into Attawapiskat free of charge. They are an amazing company run by amazing people and we appreciate so much all they do.
Attawapiskat has received 4 of the 7 skids to this point and are now distributing the goods among the needy in the community. There is such great need in this town and we would love to continue doing this frequently.

Hi Lisa, all of our drop off locations for this current trip are now closed as the truck left this morning for Timmins. We do not have any information on drop off locations in the Sault Ste. Marie area. We will be organizing more aid within the next while so please check back with our website & facebook to see how you can get involved. Thank you.
